Murray Lightman

After graduating with an Honours degree from the University of Toronto in 1971, Murray Lightman attended Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1977.
Murray joined forces with Fred Levitt in 1977, and they have worked together, complementing each other's practices since then.
Murray's area of expertise is family law. He has extensive experience both at the trial and appellate levels. Murray's philosophy is to be reasonable when possible; aggressive when necessary.
Murray devotes a great deal of time to community and professional concerns. For many years, he sat on the area committee for Legal Aid in Etobicoke. Murray is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Murray volunteered as a coach for the firm sponsored girls' hockey team, the Legal Eagles of the Swansea Girls' Hockey League.
Murray is currently a volunteer with Culturelink, assisting recent immigrants to Toronto, Canada in improving their English language skills.
